Boston Teen Author Festival 2012

Firstly, despite looking eight months pregnant in this photo, I can assure everyone, that with four kids under my belt, I am most definitely, 100% not pregnant (calm down, Mom). And to add insult to injury, I have in fact lost weight in recent weeks, and this picture is just a result of a horrible angle and a top that has very recently found its way into the nearest trash can.

Now... on with business. I was at the Boston Teen Author Festival in Emmerson College on Sunday. It was fantastic to catch up with so many wonderful YA authors including: Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, Karsten Knight, Caitlin Kittredge, Erin Dionne, Jack Ferraiolo, Steven Goldman, Daniel Waters, Diana Renn, Laurie Faria Stolarz, Wendy Wunder, Susan Carlton, AC Gaughen, and Marissa Doyle. I was on the Paranormal and Fanatasy panel with Karsten, Caitlin, and Erin, and we had a fun and lively discussion. I also bagged a seat for the Humor panel and as expected, it was hilarious.

Thanks to the awesome organizers, The Undergraduates Students For Publishing, Marisa Finklestein, and the very wonderful Renee Combs. It was a great success despite Hurricane Sandy breathing down Boston's neck. Thank you to everyone who turned out, asked wonderful questions, offered insight, and bought lots and lots of books. Also, thanks to the camera crew who recorded the entire event. I think I want to retract my permission form. *cringes*
